I had the pleasure of being a guest at the fabulous El Taj Oceanfront Condos last week, located in Playa del Carmen, just outside of Cancun; which is what Condo Hotels renowned developer Jack Perlman calls his “crown jewel.” Situated by the white sand beach and turquoise Caribbean Sea, this fabulous property is just like a quiet little sanctuary within Playa del Carmen that provides everything you might imagine from a five star hotel.

We toured 3 of the 4 luxurious, well acquainted Condo Hotels while on our stay; all of which are within a one block radius of one another – Porto Playa, Maya Villa & El Taj. Each one of these unique boutique properties make you feel like you are in your own little oasis; surrounded by lush landscaping, uniquely designed pools, outdoor dining areas and cascading fountains and lily ponds with imported Koi fish. They welcome large families in 3 or 4-bedroom suites with large living rooms, fully-equipped gourmet kitchens, and private roof decks with Jacuzzis and sweeping views of the Caribbean Sea. They also have smaller 2-bedroom units or 1-bedroom suites. It’s the ideal type of accommodations for families and friends, and with the ability to accommodate a wedding group as small as 15 people and as large as 300 people.

In addition to having the honor of being invited by the Association of Wedding Professionals to attend this FAM (familiarization) trip, I also had the opportunity to attend a series of seminars given by Destination Wedding ”DIVA” Candy Cain, owner of The Candy Cain Travel Company (and yes, Candy Cain “is” her real name) .  After successfully completing the course and passing my exam, I was again honored to receive my Destination Wedding Specialist Certification!
